Salley earned a Master of Science in Family Therapy from a private Christian University in Wichita Kansas, Friends University in 1996. She has worked in a counseling and administrative capacity since that time in out-patient, in-patient, day treatment, residential, foster care, educational and private practice settings. She has worked in the field of mental health and human services since 1985.
Positive Discipline has been life changing for her personally as a parent and professional across the various settings in which she has worked. She was certified as a Positive Discipline Educator in 2006 and has been teaching Positive Discipline to parents, care givers, and educators since 2002. She has worked primarily with at risk and special needs children, adolescents and families.
Salley says, “When people come to me for support, I help them explore their strengths and learn to harness the success that already lies within for visible, life and relationship change. I help them discover the hindrances present in their life and develop plans to overcome them to achieve their best. Through psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational processes, skills are enhanced, developed and refined for continued success in life and relationships.”
