Teaching Parenting provides a step-by-step approach to starting and leading experientially based parenting groups. This program stands alone or offers significant enhancement to any program through experiential activities that reach the heart to inspire deeper understanding and change.
You will learn:
• Effective ways to reach parents who love their children but have few skills to parent.
• How to use experiential activities that reach parents at their heart, not just their head.
• How to facilitate parenting classes based on Positive Discipline.
• Receive certificate as a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator.
Dr. Jane Nelsen is a licensed Marriage, Family and Child Counselor in South Jordan, UT and San Diego, CA. Jane is the co-developer of the following two-day training workshops:
- Teaching Parenting the Positive Discipline Way
- Positive Discipline in The Classroom
Jane’s doctorate degree in Educational Psychology from the University of San Francisco in 1979 is secondary to the education and experience she achieved from her successes and failures as a mother of seven children. She now shares this wealth of knowledge and experience as a popular keynote speaker and workshop leader throughout the country.
Jane is very well received by school district, teacher organizations, conferences, and parent education networks throughout the world. Letters come in daily from parents and teachers worldwide who have had much success with the principles outlined in her books, workshops, and lectures. She has appeared on Oprah, Sally Jessy Raphael, and Twin Cities Live, and was the featured parent expert on the National Parent Quiz with Ben Vereen.

Cost of Workshop:
Early Registration - $335.00 through May 11
Regular Registration - $370.00
A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop. For all other items or events, the processing fee will be 10% of the purchase price or a minimum of $5.
Other Information: Please wear casual clothing -- this is a very interactive workshop.
If you are flying, please to not make flight arrangements until the minimum number have enrolled. The Facilitator or our office staff will let you know as soon as that happens.
