Mexican who emigrated to the United States in 1994, I am a mother of two teenagers and grandmother of two beautiful children, for whom every day is different, exciting, and full of learning. Positive Discipline came at the best time of my life since I could implement it with my children and learn a different way of disciplining than what I was usually used to. I have 18 years of experience working in Community Resource Centers, School Districts. Consistently implement positive discipline in men's rehabilitation centers, alternative schools for teenage parents, women's shelters, and school districts. The First Latina who taught the first training in Spanish, “Teaching Discipline the Positive Discipline Way,” in 2006. In love with Positive Discipline, my main goal is to transmit this philosophy and this passion to all my Latin families. “Raising children in this country is not easy; we have to face several cultural challenges, customs, and rules that this country demands of us.”
