Bio
Foteini Karagrigori is a dedicated educator, author, and Certified Positive Discipline Trainer (CPDT) based in Patras, Greece. She is the founder and President of the Positive Discipline Association of Greece (Σύλλογος Θετικής Διαπαιδαγώγησης Ελλάδας, founded in 2025) and the creator of lemonhood.gr, a digital hub providing resources, counseling, and training for modern parenting and respectful education.
With a rich academic background, Foteini holds a BA in Early Childhood Care and Education, an MSSc in Child Studies from Linköping University (Sweden), and an M.Ed in Educational Sciences. As a Vocational Education and Training (VET) teacher, she trains future childcare assistants, seamlessly integrating Positive Discipline into her curriculum to cultivate inclusive, trauma-informed, and respectful learning environments.
Since 2024, Foteini has pioneered the delivery of official PDA certification programs in the Greek language for parent educators, early childhood educators, and classroom teachers. Deeply committed to the international community, she facilitates the recognized Greek-speaking Positive Discipline Mentor Group and actively translates and disseminates official educational materials from the PDA and Empowering People, Inc. to the Greek-speaking world.
Her relationship-centered approach is strongly rooted in attachment theory and trauma-informed practices, always emphasizing emotional safety and mutual respect. This philosophy shines through her book, "The Mistakes You Will Make" (Τα λάθη που θα κάνεις, Dioptra Publishing, 2026), which invites parents to release the pressure of perfection and embrace an authentic, supportive connection with their children.
Inspired daily by her role as a mother, Foteini is passionately dedicated to creating a more empathetic society—one classroom, one family, and one relationship at a time.
