For more than two decades, Deneen has been applying her acting, teaching and technology experience to help teachers and schools expand students' learning opportunities. After receiving her M.Ed. from George Mason University, she co-authored The Internet for Your Kids, was a frequent columnist for technology in education magazines, and authored several major technology leadership studies. After working for several innovative companies, bigchalk.com and Teachscape, Deneen decided to apply her acting skills to bring the voices of students to the conversations about redesigning education. Her one-woman show, The Natives Are Restless, toured the US as a keynote at educational conferences for five years.
