Yogi Patel is a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer. She facilitates trainings for Parent Educators and Classroom Teachers for the Positive Discipline Association. Yogi has worked as a Montessori Head of School for 18 years. She holds a Primary (age 2.5 to 6+) Diploma from Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Her work includes Early Childhood Education advocacy and supporting parents, teachers and business owners. Yogi, a mother of two loving daughters and wife of a supporting husband, has been offering Montessori seminars to parents and teachers since 2001 and Positive Discipline seminars to parents and teachers since 2010.
Lois Ingber is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Positive Discipline Lead Trainer. She has 30+ years of experience providing services to children, youth, families, and educators in school, clinic, hospital, social service and private practice settings. Lois uses POSITIVE DISCIPLINE and Adlerian Psychology in all of her work. She is a frequent presenter at conferences and workshops in the U.S. and China, and is a co-author with Jody McVittie, M.D. of "BRIDGES – Building Relationships for Improved Discipline, Academic Gains and Effective Schools - A Student-Centered Approach for Building Skills and Accountability."

Workshop Description: This two-day interactive workshop is designed for teachers, counselors, school staff and administrators who want an effective discipline approach that integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging student behaviors. Attendees will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator and will learn to:
- Develop a large teaching toolbox of kind and firm discipline approaches.
- Establish explicit classroom structures and procedures.
- Create an equitable classroom community based on mutual respect.
- Understand the motivation behind students' misbehavior and how to encourage positive change.
- Facilitate effective class meetings teaching social skills and problem-solving.
- Learn Positive Discipline/Adlerian Psychology for use in the classroom and school community.
Cost: $375 Early Registration, available until 10/14/2019. $425 Regular Registration. 3 or more registering together take $25 off. Limit 30.

Whether you attend one of our live workshops or participate in an online workshop, you may choose to earn 1 to 4 non-degree credits. Positive Discipline Association courses approved for Graduate-Level Semester Credits through University of the Pacific will appear on an Official Transcript with a letter grade.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop.
In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified by email.
