Facilitator Information: With her degree from Business and Management School and her experience living and working in many countries throughout the world, Karine is passionate about helping people unleash their potential, especially parents and teachers. As a certified Positive Discipline Trainer Karine provides services for training agencies, companies, and educational institutions. As well as private coaching for families and individuals. In addition to the Positive Discipline tools, Karine uses specific techniques (Bach Flowers to restore emotional balance, coaching using the reflection process, practical exercices and role playing...) for issues such as self-awareness, personal development, problem-solving and conflict resolution. These approaches, available for groups or individuals, enhance communication and cooperation, whilst increasing motivation and self-belief. Karine has three teenage children and resides is London, UK.

Joy Marchese, M.A., is a mother, author, educator, and well-being advocate. For over 20 years Joy has worked with thousands of children, parents, and teachers to help foster a happy and flourishing environment in the home and in schools.
Joy is the Founder of Positive Discipline UK. She runs a successful coaching practice and offers seminars and workshops as a Positive Discipline Lead Trainer to various schools and organizations throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the U.S. Joy sees herself as an agent of change. With her combined passion and experience in parenting, education, professional development, and wellness she is able to give you a comprehensive look in to the modern world of parenting, relationships, and personal and professional development. Joy is the mother of a beautiful baby girl, and lives with her daughter and husband in New York.


Workshop Description:  This two-day interactive workshop is designed for teachers, counselors, school staff and administrators who want an effective discipline approach that integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging student behaviors. Attendees will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator and will learn to: 

  1. Develop a large teaching toolbox of kind and firm discipline approaches. 
  2. Establish explicit classroom structures and procedures. 
  3. Create an equitable classroom community based on mutual respect. 
  4. Understand the motivation behind students' misbehavior and how to encourage positive change. 
  5. Facilitate effective class meetings teaching social skills and problem-solving. 
  6. Learn Positive Discipline/Adlerian Psychology for use in the classroom and school community.

Whether you attend one of our live workshops or participate in an online workshop, you may choose to earn 1 to 4 non-degree credits. Positive Discipline Association courses approved for Graduate-Level Semester Credits through University of the Pacific will appear on an Official Transcript with a letter grade.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop. 

In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified by email.
