Join us for an engaging 2-hour workshop designed specifically for childcare providers interested in implementing Positive Discipline strategies in their daily interactions with children. Led by experienced Positive Discipline Trainers and Lead Trainers, this training will provide practical insights and techniques to create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters children's social-emotional development.

Recordings: Available to registered participants one week after the event.


Intended Audience: All childcare providers including early childhood educators, preschool teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators. Nannies, foster parents, grandparents, and even parents will benefit from the information too. 


A Certificate of Completion will be provided for participants who sign in and out during the live session as instructed. Or watch the recording and answer the multiple choice questions with 80% or higher accuracy. 


PRESENTERS

Cheryl Erwin, LMFT – ECE program developer and Certified Positive Discipline Lead Trainer. Cheryl is a marriage and family therapist, and the co-author of numerous titles in the Positive Discipline library. She has been the Mental Health Consultant for Early Head Start at the University of Nevada, Reno, and is a popular international speaker and trainer.

Cristina Sanz, M.A. – Montessori and Adlerian Therapist and a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer. As a Montessori Guide and trainer from 0 to 6 years old, she has worked in various training centers nationally and internationally. Cristina offers individual and family counseling as well as psycho-educational orientation sessions for parents, teachers, and schools.

Steven Foster, LCSW –  ECE program developer, Positive Discipline Lead Trainer, and co-author. Steven has over thirty years' experience with young children. Trained as a clinical social worker, he has worked in both mental health and education. Currently, he is in private practice as a Positive Discipline Trainer, consultant, and coach.


LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the principles and benefits of Positive Discipline for young children. 
  2. Learn effective communication techniques for guiding children's behavior positively.
  3. Explore strategies for setting clear and consistent boundaries while maintaining empathy and respect.
  4. Discover methods for fostering cooperation and problem-solving skills in children.
  5. Gain insights into managing challenging behaviors with patience and understanding.
  6. Understand the purpose of challenging behaviors.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • A full refund (minus a $15 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to conference date.
  • Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before the conference date. However, paid registrants can transfer to future PDA training event including workshops within one year at no additional cost.
  • Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the event. 
  • Participants will be notified by email if for any reason the event is cancelled.
