Cost: $449 Early Registration, available until 05/01/2026. $499 Regular Registration.  Four (4) or more registering together take $50 off the fee. Limit 40 participants.

Facilitator Information: 

Dodie Blomberg, MEd, is passionate about helping people improve their lives through creating respectful relationships in their families, schools and communities. She taught 5th grade in Tempe, Arizona for 12 years. She is a Lead Trainer for the Positive Discipline Association and an Adler Trained Coach. She facilitates Positive Discipline Workshops and trainings all over Arizona, the United States, and internationally. She is most proud of her two children, Colton 30 and Cassidy 27.

After teaching English Language Arts for 12 years, Eva Dwight earned her master's degree in Educational Counseling and worked as a school counselor for 20 years. She is a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer, an Adler Trained Coach, and she has served on the Board of Directors for the Positive Discipline Association. She has been married for 39 years and is the proud parent of two sons, ages 30 and 28.


Workshop Description:  This two-day interactive workshop is designed for teachers, counselors, school staff and administrators who want an effective discipline approach that integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging student behaviors. Attendees will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator and will learn to: 

  1. Develop a large teaching toolbox of kind and firm discipline approaches. 
  2. Establish explicit classroom structures and procedures. 
  3. Create an equitable classroom community based on mutual respect. 
  4. Understand the motivation behind students' misbehavior and how to encourage positive change. 
  5. Facilitate effective class meetings teaching social skills and problem-solving. 
  6. Learn Positive Discipline/Adlerian Psychology for use in the classroom and school community.

The Positive Discipline Association is pleased to provide the opportunity for educators to earn graduate-level university credit. Whether you attend one of our live workshops or participate in an online workshop, you may choose to earn 1 to 4 non-degree credits. These credits are for licensure renewal and salary step increases only. The cost of graduate-level credit is separate from the workshop registration fee. Click Here for more information.

Positive Discipline Association courses approved for Graduate-Level Semester Credits through University of the Pacific will appear on an Official Transcript with a letter grade.

CES: The Positive Discipline Association has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider. ACEP No. 6723.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Workshop Registrations: A full refund (minus a $35 processing fee) will be given when the request for a refund is made up to 30 days prior to the first day of a workshop. Refunds are not available for cancellations less than 30 days before a workshop. However, paid registrants can transfer to another workshop within one year at no additional cost. Refunds are not available after a transfer is made or if you do not provide advanced notice that you will not be attending the workshop. 

In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified by email.
